Dehumidification Units

TİMFOG Dehumidification Devices The capacity of refrigerant gaseous dehumidification devices is limited with small capacity in general and there is a need for higher capacity where dehumidification needs are increased. Areas of usages related to dehumidifiers are as follows;

Dehumidification System in  greenhouses:

The dehumidification rotor air conditioners used in the greenhouses are the first in the industry with heating-cooling-ventilation and dehumidification performances. Moisture and herbal diseases (especially Botrytis) ,which are a serious problem among seedling growers, are kept by zeolite or PDF (Polymer dehumidifying agent humidifying agent) which is used up to 99%. Thus, it can provide serious humidity control in the greenhouses thanks to its heating, seasonal transition and cooling features in summer.

Timfog Greenhouse Air Handling Units (Greenhouse Roof-Top) which can reach 400 lt / hour capacity in a single device when required, can be used comfortably in very large seedling or greenhouse areas thanks to the advantages of communicating with multiple units and being centrally monitored and controlled.

Swimming pool dehumidification:

The mingling of pool water to the air by continuously rapidly evaporating due to the heat leads to an increase in the relative humidity and in turn to rapid decay of plant and bacterial growth in the environment by being exposed to high humidity. According to VDI 2089/1, the humidity rate of covered swimming pools must be the rate between values of 40% - 64%. Exceedance of 64% rate of humidity causes to growth and proliferation of microorganisms such as germs, bacteria and fungi in the environment. However, chlorinated water condensated on metal and wood surfaces also causes decay of the components in a short time due to the corrosive effects of water. Eliminating these negative effects is possible by dehumidification and namely keeping humidity levels under comfort conditions. Timfog Pool Dehumidification Devices has been designed specially for providing covered pool spaces and the places where need for dehumidification (volume) and healthier living spaces.

Dehumidification in the archives rooms:

Many companies, organizations and institutions have an archive room somehow in which they keep their documents in it. These rooms are usually selected as sites of very little use by its very nature, and there is no air conditioning or climatization. Archived documents, namely papers absorb moisture in the long standing presence in the same environment and eventually become unusable by getting mouldy owing to their hygroscopic natures. The documents which are stored up by keeping the ambient conditions at the rate of constant and optimal relative humidity through the use of dehumidifiers may be kept for a long time without problems.

Dehumidification in the shipyards:

In shipbuilding and in the modification of ships, clean metal surface is uncovered by abrasive blasting prior to painting the metal. Corrosion of metal in contact with air is a very costly and time-consuming process for the shipyards since it would mean to repeat the process. Therefore, it is required to minimize the risk of corrosion as a result of contact with air in the location of metal surfaces and keep the humidity at low levels. It is often necessary to use large-capacity dehumidifiers because the volume is usually large. In such applications, combined usage of dehumidifiers with hot air devices for the baking and drying paint provides great convenience to the shipyards.

Dehumidification in the storages:

The transmittal of the product to the customer solidly maintaining the rigid structure of the packaging during the storage and handling of various products which is stored by wrapping up in cellulose origin packing like cardboard box, paperboard is essential. If the stored ambient conditions in terms of relative humidity are high, while products are still in the warehouse, stacked packaging of products loses its protective function cringing with embarrassment. High quality understanding, assistance of packaging to sell the product, and also protecting the package like product may require improvements in storage conditions and may also require constant humidity control in volumes which has a high moisture problem. Such applications are applications that can be solved with the use of dehumidifiers entirely.

Dehumidification in the pharmaceutical industry:

The raw materials used in drug production are mostly hygroscopic materials, and they are affected by changes in the amount of moisture in the air to the utmost during the process and their precise recipe values deviate. In addition to this, powder flow problems, tablets and dragees pressing problems are also experienced because of problems such as accumulation and adhesion in consequence of flocculation in raw material supply due to humid air. Particularly in soft gel capsule manufacturing, if there is around 30% to 15% of humidity in the air, it prevents drying and quality disorders soft gel pharmaceutical production. It is not enough to dehumidify the air in this place, Timfog puts rotor desiccant wheel into place with the air conditioning unit with the hygienic condition to the drug manufacturers.

Dehumidification in manufacturing process of confectionery and chocolate:

In the manufacture of confectionery the product go through melting, cooking, forming, cooling and packaging phases. Reducing the moisture level enough thanks to only cooling in the cooling tunnel cannot be provided alone, therefore a dehumidifier should be included in the manufacturing process. Otherwise confectioneries may stick to each other, cooling tunnels, packaging at the winding stage, weight at weighing stage and may become dull by losing their shine. Cocoa powder used in the manufacture of chocolate and offered for sale normally contains 5% moisture. Higher humidity causes mold growth during storage. Therefore cocoa powder should be stored in a moisture-proof packaging and in a dry environment. Relative humidity during shipment and storage of the chocolate should be less than 65%. If these conditions are not met, flowering occurs on the product surface. In general, all confectionery products are stored in a manner that does not direct sunlight in a cool and dry place. If the temperature is not above 22°C and the relative humidity is not above 60%, product maintains its freshness just like the first day until the expiration date. Especially products sold in bulk packaged in the form of wrapping or paper packaged products are affected very quickly from excessive moisture. Due to demonstrating seasonal characteristics of chocolate and candy sales; peaking of demands in the winter months and holidays, manufacturers should create proper storage conditions like ideal relative humidity in storages, too. Timfog puts rotor desiccant wheel into place with the air conditioning unit with the hygienic condition to the confectionery manufacturers.
