Piston Pumps
Product Information
Annovi Reverberi piston pumps are Italian-made, industrial-grade positive displacement pumps renowned globally for their high-pressure capability, durability, and reliability. They are widely used in applications requiring consistent, high-energy fluid delivery, such as high-pressure cleaning, industrial processes, and specialized agricultural fogging systems.
Technical Design and Operation
The majority of AR industrial pumps use a Triplex Plunger/Piston design:
- Triplex Configuration: The pump has three ceramic pistons/plungers driven by a single crankshaft and connecting rod mechanism, similar to an engine. This three-piston arrangement minimizes pressure pulsations, ensuring a smoother, more consistent flow compared to single-ppiston pumps.
- Volumetric Principle: As a volumetric (or positive displacement) pump, it delivers a precise, fixed volume of fluid with each revolution. The flow rate is directly proportional to the rotation speed RPM.
- High Pressure: These pumps are engineered to generate pressures ranging from 70 Bar (approx. 1,000 psi) up to $400 Bar (approx. $5,800 psi) for specific models.
Key Components and Durability
AR pumps are built with components selected for longevity in harsh conditions:
- Pistons: Typically made of one-piece ceramic, which offers exceptional hardness, wear resistance, and resistance to chemical corrosion, dramatically extending the life of the seals and packing.
- Pump Head/Manifold: Constructed from durable materials like forged brass or sometimes stainless steel (for chemical resistance), designed to withstand continuous high pressure.12
- Crank Mechanism: Features high-strength steel shafts and bronze or specialized low-friction aluminum alloy connecting rods, all housed in an oil bath for lubrication
